Upcoming Activities

WM Meeting
All ladies are invited to attend the Women’s Ministries meeting on Tuesday, October 13 at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall.

Ladies Luncheon
Thursday, October 15, the Ladies Lunch Fellowship is excited to host a Bible Book Club. The group will meet for lunch at noon in the Fellowship Hall and then discuss different books of the Bible. All ladies are invited to bring a sack lunch.

Angel Food Distribution
Angel Food distribution day is Saturday, October 17 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM in the Family Life Center. If you would like to help with the distribution, please e-mail the office at wmfirstassembly@yahoo.com.

Cedar Hills Family Day
The 40 & Below Ladies group would like to invite all families to Cedar Hills Farm for a Family Day on Saturday, October 17. If you would like to attend, please contact LeeAnn Sturch at 901-626-9129. The cost is $8 per person plus a sack lunch. We will leave the church at 12:00 PM.

Passover Seder Meal/Service
If you enjoyed the Passover series Pastor Rusty preached about earlier in the year you do not want to miss Sunday night! We will have Jay Dockins with Rock of Israel lead us in a Passover Seder dinner on Sunday, October 18 at 5:30 PM in the Family Life Center. (Baby and Toddler nurseries will be provided.)
The order of service is:
1. Introduction and Symbolic Meal
2. Seder Dinner--
3. Seder Message--"Afikomen"
4. Closing
We look forward to seeing you for this exciting service/meal!

Deacons Breakfast
The deacons will meet Monday, October 19 at 6:00 AM at Shoney's.

Tuesday Treasures
Ladies mark your calendar for Tuesday, October 20 for Tuesday Treasures at 6:30 PM. This will be a great time of fellowship, worship and discipleship. There will be 4 “nuggets of treasure” offered.

Young at Heart Fellowship
The Young at Heart will meet on Friday, October 23 at the home of Patricia McGarrity (1506 Brentwood) for a time of fellowship.

Revolve Camping Discipleship Retreat
Instead of attending Youth Convention this year, the Revolve youth group will go to Village Creek for a weekend of camping, discipleship and tons of fun! The bus will leave the church on Friday, October 23 at 5:00 PM and return Sunday, October 25 at 12:00 PM.

Kid's Fest 2009
We are so excited about this year’s Kid’s Fest!
It will start with a Kid’s Crusade with the Harness family and of course, Karate Man, Wednesday, October 28-Friday, October 30 in the Family Life Center at 6:30 PM.
Saturday,October 31, the Kid’s Fest Carnival will be from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM Then at 5:00 PM we will have Trunk r Treat.
Sunday, November 1, we will have Sunday School at 9:30 AM and close out the Fest with a Family service at 10:30 in FLC. We will have a 6:00 PM service.

Revolve Fish Fry
The youth are hosting a Fish Fry on Saturday,November 7 from 4:30-6:30 PM in the Family Life Center. An adult plate is $10 and a child’s plate is $5.You may substitute chicken for the fish. Buy your tickets today from any Revolve student. Thanks for supporting us and Speed the Light!

Thanksgiving Community Outreach
This year we would like to help out families in our community during the Thanksgiving holiday with a food basket that is available through Angel Food Ministries for $36.
The basket includes a roasting hen, boneless netted ham, frozen diced sweet potatoes, frozen corn cobbetts, frozen cranberries, ready to cook cornbread dressing, heat and serve dinner rolls, brown gravy mix and a dessert item.
The three ways to purchase one for a family in need are:
1. Order on-line at www.angelfoodministries.com to pay with a debit or credit card. (Please call the church office to notify us you have ordered one to give out.)
2. Come by the office to pay by cash or check.
3. Put money in the offering basket. (Please mark your envelope the money is for a Thanksgiving basket.)
The deadline to order is Wednesday, October 28 at 3:00 PM.
