Labor Day Service
On Sunday, September 5, we will have Sunday School at 9:45 AM and one service at 10:45 in the Family Life Center. Please note, we will not have a 8:30 AM or 6:00 PM service.

Office News
The office will be closed Monday, September 6 in observance of Labor Day. A pastor will be on call for emergencies.

Stitches of Love
Stitches of Love will meet Tuesday, September 7 at 6:30 PM in the Fellowship Hall. If you enjoy sewing, you are welcome to come and have a great time sewing and having fellowship. They are collecting elastic and clean, new or gently used pillow cases for Dresses for India. For more information, please contact Pat Wescott at 901-292-5985.

WM Game Night

Discovery Class
If you are interested in becoming a member of First Assembly or want to learn more about us, please join Bobby Kennedy in the Discovery class. It will begin Sunday, July 11 at 9:45 AM in the Discovery room. Please call the office at 735-1907 to sign up.

Kid’s Camp
The bus will leave the church on Sunday, July 18 at 10:30 AM for Kid’s Camp. Everyone needs to bring a sack lunch and drink to eat at the campgrounds. If you have any questions, please see Jackie Harrell.

Youth Camp Service
The youth will share testimonies and their camp experience on Sunday, July 18 in the PM service.

Angel Food
Menus for Angel Food are available at each entrance. The deadline to place orders is Monday, July 19 at 2:30 PM. The pick up date is Saturday, July 24 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM.

Vacation Bible School
Ahoy there Mates! Pastor Courtney is taking registrations for VBS. It is scheduled for Thursday, August 12-Sunday, August 15. Thursday-Saturday the program will be from 6:00-9:00 PM. On Sunday 9:30 AM-12:00 PM. If you would like to volunteer and work, please contact the office or Pastor Courtney.

Whatever’s July Fellowship
Are you married and in between the newlywed and Young at Heart phase? You are invited to the Whatever’s July fellowship on Saturday, July 31 at 5:00 PM at the home of Pastor Rusty and Dorinda (803 Stratford, West Memphis). Pastor Rusty will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Please email or call Beth at the office to sign up to bring: potato salad, chips, baked beans, dessert or drinks.

Revolve is celebrating the end of another school year Friday, May 28-Saturday, May 29! The guys and girls will split up to enjoy a weekend of growing in the Lord and getting the summer started off right!

Whatevers May Fellowship
Please note with the busy holiday weekend and Women's May Getaway coming up, the bbq has been cancelled for Saturday, May 29. We will plan an event at a later time.

Crayon Collection for Ecuadorians
The MAPS team is collecting 200 24-pack crayons to take to Missionary Phil Barber in Ecuador. He will take the crayons to kids in remote areas to help witness. You may give your donation to Pastor Eric or Sister Jackie.

If you have always wanted to go on a missions trip but haven’t been able to because of health reasons or family and job commitments, here is YOUR chance. The Shine the Light in Ecuador campaign allows you to partner with a missions trip worker and “go” to Ecuador through them. If you are interested in partnering with a team member, please visit the Shine the Light in Ecuador table today or call the church office and ask for Dorinda.

Young at Heart Shopping Trip
The Young at Heart will travel to Jonesboro on Saturday, May 22 to shop and eat. The bus will leave the church at 10:00 AM. For more information, please see Sue Bramucci.

MAPS Trip Meeting & Commissioning Service
There will be a meeting on Sunday, May 23 at 5:15 PM in the Fellowship Hall for the MAPS team going to Ecuador. In the PM service, we will pray over them for a safe and productive trip.

Graduate Service

Bridal Shower

Revival with Jacob Jester
Sunday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 19, Evangelist Jacob Jester will be with us. He will speak in each Sunday service at regular times. Monday and Tuesday, service will begin at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary. Wednesday night will be a youth emphasis and EVERYONE will meet in the Family Life Center at 7:00 PM.

Revolve Sunday Night Dinner
Sunday, May 16 after the PM service, the Revolve youth will have “Build Your Own Nachos” dinner in the Family Life Center. The cost is donations and all proceeds will go towards Revolve and Speed the Light. Thank you for your support!

East Arkansas All-Church Ministry Expo
On Saturday, April 17 from 8:00 AM-2:00 PM, we will host the East Arkansas All-Church Ministry Expo. Some of the topics will be: Leadership, Children’s Ministry, Blogging for Jesus, Discipleship, Youth Ministry, Senior Ministry and Sunday School. If you would like to attend , please call the office.

MAPS Trip Meeting

Revolve Sunday Night Dinner
The Revolve youth will serve soup and sandwiches on Sunday, April 18 after the PM service in the Family Life Center. The cost is donations and will go towards the Ecuador missions trip.

Revolve Spring Fling Fundraiser
Have you done your “spring cleaning” yet? Did you find a lot of stuff that you just don’t want anymore? If you need someone to take your unwanted items off your hands, look no further than Revolve. The youth will be having a yard sale to raise money on Saturday, April 24. We will announce later when you can bring your items to the church. They will also have a car wash and concession stand.

Married Couples Fellowship
If you are too young to participate in the Young At Heart (55+) and are no longer single...THIS IS FOR YOU!
Our church has many programs, groups and events for our children, youth and our "Young At Heart" but there is very little for our married couples that are left in the middle.
Come join us for good food, good times and great fellowship on Saturday, April 24 at 4:00 PM at the home of Roger and Jennifer Woolbright (301 Blair Cv., Marion)....let's bridge the gap.
All you need to do is bring you lawn chair and either call Beth at the church or call/text Jennifer at (901) 336-2881 if you can make it. There is nothing worse than running out of food at a BBQ...so we need a head count, please.
Christian Education Team Meeting
On Sunday, April 25 at 4:30 PM there will be a meeting for all teachers and helpers in the Christian Education department in the Fellowship Hall.

Men’s Retreat
The men’s retreat is scheduled for Friday, March 26-Saturday, March 27 at the campgrounds in Hot Springs. The cost is $60 per person and is due Sunday, March 14. Sign up sheets are available at each entrance. If you have any questions, please see Roger Woolbright, Larry Forbis or Pastor Rusty.

Fine Arts Service
The Revolve youth will share their Fine Arts performance in the PM service on Sunday, March 14.

Kountry Kitchen/Pie Auction
The annual WM’s Kountry Kitchen and Pie Auction is scheduled for Sunday, March 14 after the PM service in the Family Life Center. All proceeds go to missions.

Special Guest
We will have missionary Stanley Hall with us on Wednesday, March 17 at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary.

Ecuador Missions Trip
There will be a meeting on Wednesday, March 17 after service in the Fellowship Hall for those going to Ecuador in June. This is also the deadline to sign up for the trip because tickets have to be purchased. It is very important for you to attend if you are going on the trip.

On Sunday, March 21 in all services, we will have evangelist Patrick Kimberland.

Revolve Spring Clean Project
Spring Clean is an opportunity for Revolve students to serve you. If you have cleaning needs or projects around your house or property we could help you with, contact Pastor Brett or Pastor Courtney. There are students who would love to help! Donations would be appreciated, but definitely not expected. The dates for the Spring Cleaning is Monday, March 22nd and Tuesday, March 23rd.

Special Camp Offering
Every year we help with the cost of sending our young people to camp. If you would like to help with the cost, please mark your envelope “Camp.” Please prayerfully consider making a special donation to this rewarding fund.

Annual Business Meeting
The Annual Business meeting will be Sunday, January 31 at 6:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We encourage all members to attend. We will vote on two deacons and a secretary/treasurer.

Young Adult Fellowship
The Engage young adults ministry invites anyone ages 18-35 to attend a Riverkings hockey game in Southaven, MS on Saturday, February 6. Transportation will leave the church at 6:15 pm. The cost is $13/person. Please see Courtney Sharpe or Brandon Spencer to sign up by Monday, February 1.

Personal Hygiene Kits for Haiti
Chic Chat is collecting items for personal hygiene kits to be sent to Haiti through Convoy of Hope. The items needed are full-size bottles of shampoo, toothbrushes, full-size tubes of toothpaste, bars of antibacterial soap, hand towels and combs, and gallon-size Ziploc bags. You may place your donations in the boxes located in the front foyer and by the canopy door. The deadline to turn in the donations is Friday, February 5.

4F Club
The 4F Club will be going bowling at Eagle Lanes in West Memphis on Friday, February 5 at 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7.00 per person. All adults are invited to attend. If you would like to go please contact Diane Lumpkin at 870-733-4338 so we will know how many lanes we need to reserve.

Men’s Breakfast
All men are invited for breakfast on Saturday, February 6 at 8:00 AM at the Eighth Street Mission. This is a great time of fellowship, fun and great food. If you have any questions, please see Roger Woolbright.

New Sunday School Class
Do you know how we got the Bible? To learn more, come and be a part of Pastor Clayton’s new 8-week class beginning Sunday, February 14 in the Family Life Center at 9:30 AM. You will discover how God used ordinary people taking 1,600 years to write the Bible. There will be a 60 foot long timeline, an original page of a King James Bible from 1613 and a trip will be planned to visit a Memphis Synagogue and Museum.

Fine Arts Dinner Theater
The Revolve youth will present a Fine Arts Dinner Theater Thursday, February 18 at 6:30 PM in the Family Life Center. Tickets are available for purchase with any youth member. Adults are $6 each and $4 for each child. Tickets at the door will be $8/adult and $5/child. The menu includes chili, cinnamon rolls and tea. All proceeds will go towards the Fine Arts Competition.

Purity is Power Retreat
“Purity is Power”, a sleepover retreat for girls in the fourth, fifth, and sixth grades will be held January 15th and 16th, 2010 at the church. Anyone interested in registering a girl for the sleepover should do so no later than Sunday, January 10th. Forms are available at both church entrances. Space is limited this year, so don’t wait until the last week to sign up. Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, you do not want your girls to miss this!
